Olivet Assembly concluded the 2016 Christmas Retreat on December 26th in Dover, New York. The three day event was filled with Bible lectures, musical performances, and prayer meetings with ministers and participants from all over the United States. Ministers from churches from various states were present to fellowship together while meditating on the perfect gift found in the birth of Jesus Christ.

The theme of the retreat was John 1:14, "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." Each lecture expanded on the meaning of the birth of Jesus Christ, allowing the Christmas story to come alive during the program and in the faith of attendees.

A music festival on the first night of the retreat included gracious performances by a children's choir and participants who wanted to worship with their musical talents. The Jubilee World praise band shared a grace-filled night of praise, leading all in attendance in singing joyful Christmas carols. A night of prayer concluded the second day of retreat, powerfully strengthening everyone to be united with one heart in Christ. At the closing service on the 26th, members gave testimony to the changes they had seen in their hearts through receiving God's grace and reflecting on the birth of the savior, Jesus Christ.

In returning to their states and homes from New York, participants were hopeful that the love of Jesus would continue to be on display in their lives and faith.
