Jesus Christ's Resurrection in Focus as Easter 2017 Plans Take Shape

(Olivet Assembly USA) - The message of Jesus Christ's resurrection will be preached in churches across the nation this Easter on April 16, 2017.
The churches in Olivet Assembly USA regions are seeking prayers and prayerfully making plans for retreats and evangelism to deliver the word of hope in the resurrected Lord.
In the Bible, the introduction of the letter to the believers in Rome (Romans 1:1-5 NIV) describes God's "good news" of Jesus' resurrection after his crucifixion as told by the Apostle Paul.
"...HIS RESURRECTION FROM THE DEAD"
"Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God-the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures regarding his Son, who as to his earthly life was a descendant of David, and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord. Through him we received grace and apostleship to call all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith for his name's sake. And you also are among those Gentiles who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.
"CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS ... HE WAS RAISED ON THE THIRD DAY"
In his letter to the Corinthians (1 Corinthians 15:3-5), Paul explains the priority of this message about the resurrection of Jesus in light of our sins. Apostle Paul also mentioned about the witnesses to this event.
"For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve."
"...IF CHRIST HAS NOT BEEN RAISED, OUR PREACHING IS USELESS AND SO IS YOUR FAITH"
In the same letter shortly thereafter (1 Corinthians 15:12-19) he explains to those who cannot believe that there is such a thing as resurrection from the dead, about the essential importance and foundation of faith in Christ's resurrection.
"But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied."
"I AM THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE"
Jesus himself spoke about the resurrection even before he was crucified. In speaking to a woman to comfort her after their brother had died, Jesus called himself "the resurrection" after noting her brother would "rise again." (John 11:21-26).
"Lord," Martha said to Jesus, "if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask."
Jesus said to her, "Your brother will rise again."
Martha answered, "I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day."
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?"
"LIVING HOPE THROUGH THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST"
The Apostle Peter also gave praise to God for his mercy through Jesus Christ's resurrection (1 Peter 1:3-4).
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you," the Apostle wrote.
May people across the nation hear the message about Jesus' resurrection and gain faith in the Lord's salvation as Easter approaches.
