On April 16th, Southeast region held a grace-filled Easter service and concluded this year's Easter Retreat, with the senior pastor of Jubilee Church guiding communion on this special day commemorating Jesus' cross and resurrection.

Members from Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee joined this service with including touching praise throughout the retreat, filled with the Holy Spirit's power as they read the scriptures together during the various lectures and services. Members truly felt the power of Holy Spirit congregants lifted the Lord's name on high.

The Easter Service sermon was titled "A Forgotten Hope" from Mark 15:33-39 and Mark 16:1-8. The cross of Jesus was not an ending but God raised Jesus just as the Lord had said to His disciples, in stating that "three days later he will rise from the dead." In our lives, we may experience dark moments but the message of resurrection gives us hope that there is light after the darkness. Even the first chapter of Genesis records the process of God's creation. And a new day begins "when there is evening and there is morning."

Congregants also read the prayer of David in Psalm 22:24 which states: "For he has not despised or disdained the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help." Service attendees were encouraged that God will surely answer to the cry of our suffering and that God assures us with the hope of resurrection.

After service, kids had a fun time during an Easter egg hunt, refreshing members with their pure joy. Members from Atlanta and Birmingham departed to their mission fields after the fellowship time. The region hopes this gathering will be a new start for Southeast region to dream bigger and grow in unity through Jesus Christ.
